Chimpanzees sleep in beds made of branches and leaves on top of trees.
Their beds have many secrets to make them comfortable to sleep in.
The “Human Evolution Bed” was created by taking a hint from this exquisite technique.
It was jointly developed with Iwata Corporation.
Comfort#01
A slightly smaller “oval” shape.
When a chimpanzee sleeps on a bed in a large position, its legs stick out of the bed. The slightly smaller oval shape replicates that size. When you try sleeping with your legs outstretched, you will feel the pressure on your heels being released.
The oval shape also allows the length from the head pillow to the foot pillow to vary depending on the direction you lie. Whether you are tall or short, you can find the most comfortable place for yourself by changing the direction you lie.

Rocking” like a cradle.
The chimpanzee beds in the tree tops sway comfortably when the chimpanzee turns over in bed. Based on recorded footage, we have recreated the same 360-degree swaying as that of a bed in a tree. The swaying is just like the cradle we felt as children.
Another feature of the bed is that it tilts toward you when you sit on it. It is as if “the bed is coming for you. Thanks to this, getting in and out of the bed feels easy.

Exquisite “mattress.
The chimpanzee bed is neither low rebound nor high rebound, but exquisitely soft. The secret is the many leafy twigs. Each twig and each leaf has a small elasticity, and they all support the body.
We have recreated that sleeping comfort with a mattress made of 100% feathers. The small elasticity of each lightly curved feather gently wraps and supports the entire body.

The “shape of a plate” that wraps around the body.
The chimpanzee bed is shaped like a dish. The edges are raised, and all directions are pillows. Taking a cue from this, the “Human Evolution Bed” also has pillows in all directions.
Thanks to these “pillows,” when you lie on your back, you can enjoy a sleeping posture that relaxes your torso, as if you were soaking in a hot spring. Of course, even when you lie on your side, the edge of the bed gently cradles your body.

A sturdy, plate-shaped “foundation.
Sleeping peacefully in a tree requires a stable base. The chimpanzee builds a sturdy base by breaking and bending branches. Of course, the shape of the base is also “dish-shaped. The Human Evolution Bed reproduces this shape by stretching hemp belts horizontally and vertically across the boldly hollowed out top panel.
The firm base with gentle curves firmly supports your body as if it were holding your relaxed body from below.

Fine-tune your sleeping comfort today.
The Human Evolution Bed can be fine-tuned. You can adjust the hemp belt to change the curve of the base, and you can change the height of the pillow by lightly tapping the mattress to move the feathers inside.
